A head-turning spectacle that defies boundaries
The Easter Egg at the Dolder Grand is a floral installation that transcends the boundaries between floristry and art. Created from approximately 13,000 carnations and standing at an impressive height of 3.5 metres, the Easter Egg is a truly remarkable sight.

Symbolism that touches the heart
This year, the central message is “Faith.” It connects the symbolism of the Easter story with the challenges of our time – from political unrest to individual hopes for a new beginning. For Leonie Haupt and Sofia Castrignanò, who are responsible for the floristry and design within the team, “Faith” consciously represents all faiths. Their intention is to invite all guests and visitors of the hotel to interpret this universal concept in a very personal way. Faith symbolises cohesion and the conviction that in challenging times, belief in peace, hope and a better future can unite people.
The idea is realised with white lettering on luminous pink, all made of carnations.

A feast for the senses
The Easter Egg is a multi-sensory experience. It appeals not only to the visual sense but unfolds its effect on several levels: The fragrance of thousands of fresh carnations fills the Steinhalle of the Dolder Grand. Pink enhances positive feelings, soothes aggressions, and symbolises harmony. It invites you to pause and be inspired by the positive energy. This choice of colour also makes the egg a symbol of hope and confidence. In the midst of uncertainties and conflicts, it radiates warmth and optimism – a contrast to the often cool and rough reality.
Craftsmanship par excellence
Over two days, approximately 13,000 flowers are attached to a specially made framework. The creation of the egg embodies the connection of artistic vision, craftsmanship precision and symbolic meaning. The planning period begins in January, when design and colour choices must be determined early.
