The Rhine Falls – a miracle of nature: an unforgettable adventure combining water and history
Experience one of the greatest forces of nature in Europe: the Rhine Falls waterfalls. With a height of 23 metres, a width of 150 metres and up to 600 cubic metres of water flowing over the rocks every second, the Rhine Falls are among the largest waterfalls on the continent.
Access to this magnificent natural spectacle is via Laufen Castle. The historic fortress from the 11th century tells the story of the Rhine Falls and the surrounding area and offers stunning views of the waterfall and the surrounding countryside from its terrace. For the more adventurous, we recommend a boat trip to the middle rock formation. There you can feel the thundering water masses up close – the ride is the highlight of a visit to the Rhine Falls.
Afterwards, it’s worth taking a detour to the picturesque town of Stein am Rhein.
Stroll through the narrow streets of the enchanting old town with its well-preserved medieval buildings and let yourself be enchanted by the history of this charming place.
